The Intense Trials of Dean and Coleen in "I'm a Celebrity..."
2024-11-24
In the Sunday challenge of "I'm a Celebrity...", the public voted for Dean to be inside the front of a truck, covered in fish guts and bugs, while Coleen was locked in the back with rats and insects. Dean had to search for tools in the vehicle to help Coleen unscrew the stars and win food for the camp. Just before Absolute Carnage began, Coleen urged Dean to participate as he had previously called out but failed to complete several trials. There seemed to be no escape for them as they faced this terrifying ordeal.
Viewers' Reactions and Pleas
After ITV viewers witnessed Dean's screams and yells during the trials, some "begged" the public not to vote for him to do another trial. One person on X said, "Dear British public, I beg you stop voting for Dean to do the trials." Another added, "#ImACeleb please vote for other campmates to do a trial and be seen." One posted, "Don't know how much more I can handle of Dean on these trials." A fan asked, "Please can this be Dean's last trial?" And an account shared, "'We're not going to vote Dean to do the challenge today' we all say in unison #ImACeleb".Dean and Coleen's Struggles
Dean's fifth trial of the series ended with the two celebrities managing to get nine out of 12 stars. He was also praised by the hosts, Ant and Dec, for doing the "best" he's done so far. Coleen, on the other hand, was seen as doing a lot of the work. As one person wrote, "I'm sorry but dean crying over slime is insane when coleen is doing all the work #ImACeleb". Another said, "Poor Coleen she getting it done Dean got the easy bit #ImACeleb".Maura Higgins and Richard Coles' Feat
On Saturday's "I'm a Celebrity", Maura Higgins and Richard Coles took on the infamous eating trial. The Love Island star and the writer and broadcaster successfully ate 12 themed dishes including pig's eyeballs, cockroaches, and goat's testicle. Determined to win six portions each for the camp, they dived into their 'Teddy Bears' picnic'. Maura started with a 'porked eye' (two pig eyeballs), while Richard ate a 'crawl-dorf salad' (five cockroaches and five crickets). Before tucking in, Richard, a Church of England priest, crossed himself and joked. Host Ant praised Maura's "no messing about" approach as "very impressive". Richard then took on blended fermented herring which Ant said was the "worst thing" he had ever smelt on the show.Continuing the Show
