However, in January 2023, he suffered a minor stroke which left him partially paralysed on his right side from the shoulder down. Despite this setback, he underwent 10 weeks of intensive therapy and was able to start rehearsals with the band for their 'The Future Past' tour.During an interview with Metal Hammer in December, he described the experience as "very, very difficult". He admitted that there were some songs he "can't play" in the way he had previously. But his dedication and love for the band shone through as he expressed his gratitude to his fans and the band.

The Search for a New Drummer

After careful consideration, they have revealed the newest addition to their line-up: Simon Dawson. Dawson plays in British Lion, the hard rock project of Iron Maiden founder Steve Harris.
