Anelise's Unforgettable Hospital Performance

During his medical emergency in April 2023, doctors were concerned as Foxx's vitals were out of control. But when Anelise, his youngest daughter, sneaked into his hospital room with her guitar and started to play, something miraculous happened. As Foxx recalled, "They said when she was playing, my vitals went down. The nurses at the nurses station were baffled. It was as if God was in that guitar, acting as a spiritual defibrillator." This emotional moment was captured on stage when Anelise performed with her father, sharing a tearful hug and creating a bond that will last a lifetime.After the performance, Foxx tearfully thanked his daughter, saying, "Anelise, thank you so much for stepping up when all was lost." And Anelise responded with a heartfelt message, "You had to make it because I always dreamed that we'd perform together onstage one day."

Corinne and Deidra's Support During the Crisis

Corinne, Foxx's oldest daughter, first confirmed his "medical complication" in April 2023. During the comedy special, Foxx commended Corinne and sister Deidra Dixon for their unwavering support during his difficult time. He said, "They held me the f— down. Nobody seemed him. They cut it all off. They didn't want you to see me like that and I didn't want you to see me like that. I wanted you to see my like this." His daughter Anelise also showed her concern, joking that she didn't want people to meme her father's condition.

For Father's Day in June, Foxx shared a video of himself singing next to Anelise as she played guitar outdoors, highlighting the special bond they share. The comedy special was taped at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta in October, just 400 yards away from Piedmont Hospital where he was saved.
