2024-12-09
The Brown family is now facing their first holiday season without Garrison Brown, who tragically passed away suddenly in March. His absence is deeply felt as they come together to celebrate during this emotional time.
Honoring Garrison's Memory
Family Gathers in NC
The Sister Wives star, Janelle Brown, who is 55 years old, shared an Instagram post last week about how the family is keeping Garrison's memory alive. "First of the 'big' holidays without you sweetheart," she wrote alongside a framed photo of Garrison. They all gathered in North Carolina to celebrate together and kept his photo close by. They laughed about his silly sense of humor and told many stories to honor him. They ate, played games, and enjoyed each other's company.Returning Home and Resuming Normal Life
After the holiday gathering, family members are now returning home. As normal life resumes tomorrow, Janelle still feels Garrison close by. This post comes nine months after Garrison was found dead in his Arizona home after an apparent suicide in March. He was only 25 years old.Parents' Joint Statement
Following Garrison's death, Janelle and his father Kody Brown posted a joint statement on their respective Instagram pages. Janelle wrote, "Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory."Tribute on the Six-Month Anniversary
In September, Janelle shared a tribute to Garrison on the six-month anniversary of his death. "6 months ago today you went away. You come up in my photo memories almost every day," she began alongside a photo of her son hugging her and kissing her cheek. "Sometimes it doesn't seem like you're gone. And then I remember I won't be getting a call or text from you and it all comes rushing back. I know you fought hard but in the end you just couldn't stay." She concluded her post by saying, "I love you so much and will see you again when my journey is done."Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
