During the December 2 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the husband-wife duo shared the details of their family's Thanksgiving. With all their kids and roommates home, it was a time filled with both joy and some light-hearted tensions.Holiday Tensions and Dishes
The holiday-centric debates centered around a side dish Ripa prepared. As an honored guest, Consuelos expected the food to just materialize. But when he complained about too much butter in the mashed potatoes, a playful argument ensued. Ripa explained that she simply put a chunk of butter on top expecting it to melt. Consuelos, in a lighthearted manner, asked if she really thought that would happen. He recalled waiting 7 minutes into the dinner and then showing her the "block of butter like about the size of half my hand" with a hint of passive-aggressiveness.
Later in the weekend, Ripa tasked Consuelos with manning the pizza oven as he had read the instruction manual. However, he deviated from her instructions and made what she called "Soup Pizza." When Ripa threw two pies away, Consuelos remained steadfast, saying that two out of 12 isn't bad. Despite the differences, their Thanksgiving was a time of togetherness and shared memories.
The Kids and the Full House
Ripa spoke of their three kids: Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21. Having all the kids home made the holiday great. There were a lot of laughs and festive arguments among them. It was a time when the family came together and created lasting memories.
Even with the minor disagreements over food, the love and connection within the family shone through. Thanksgiving became a celebration of their unique bond and the joys of being together.
