This journey has been a significant one for her, as she shares her experiences and the importance of finding a safe space in therapy.

Khloé Kardashian's Therapy Comeback and Its Impact

Divorce and the Tabloid Incident

Khloé Kardashian was going through a difficult time during her divorce from Lamar Odom. She was attending therapy, hoping to find some solace and support. However, a shocking incident occurred when something private she shared with her therapist ended up on a tabloid. This betrayal left her feeling violated and distrustful. "I was going to therapy and the next thing I knew, something private I told my therapist was on a tabloid," she recalled. "And I knew that my therapist disclosed this information to a tabloid because there’s no way this could have gotten out there." This experience had a profound impact on her, causing her to stop going to therapy and seek solace in the gym instead. "I stopped going to therapy and started going to the gym. I needed a release, but I did not trust anybody else anymore," she shared.

The Decision to Return to Therapy

Despite her initial hesitation, Khloé Kardashian was eventually persuaded by her sister Kim and best friend Malika Haqq to return to therapy. As she turned 39, she decided to start seeing the same therapist her sister sees. "She’s really lovely and I really like her," Khloé said. "Kim was really adamant. I was like, ‘I’ll do this for you.’ " Although she initially dragged her feet, she soon realized the benefits of therapy. After her sessions, she shared, "I was like, ‘Wow, OK, this is good. I needed this.’ And my therapist was like, ‘I think you should come three days a week.’" She continued, "She was like, ‘You really need to be here.’ It all worked out."

The Safety of the Gym vs. Therapy

For Khloé Kardashian, the gym had been a place of safety and release during her difficult time. She had previously said that "working out is my therapy." But she also realized the importance of traditional therapy in her healing process. "The place that I felt the safest was the gym," she explained. However, with the support of her loved ones, she was able to overcome her fears and return to therapy. She now sees therapy as an essential part of her well-being and is committed to continuing her sessions.
