Louisiana's Lainey Wilson's Grammy Nomination Streak Continues
2024-11-19
For two consecutive years, Louisiana's very own Lainey Wilson has found herself nominated for a best country album Grammy Award. This 32-year-old Baskin native made history in February when she took home her first Grammy for "Bell Bottom Country". This 16-song album was a force to be reckoned with, also claiming the title of album of the year at both the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards and the 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards.

Grammy Nod for "Whirlwind"

Just this month, Wilson received another Grammy nod for her fifth studio album, "Whirlwind", which was released in August. The chart-topping singles from this project have been making waves, including "Hang Tight Honey", "Country's Cool Again", "4x4xU", and the duet with fellow country superstar Miranda Lambert, "Good Horses".

Touring and Beyond

She successfully wrapped up this year's "Country's Cool Again" tour on Friday in Monroe. And in January, she is all set to embark on an international tour, spreading her musical magic far and wide.
