This fire, which ignited on Monday night during a period of extremely dangerous conditions with Santa Ana winds sweeping across the region, has led to mandatory evacuation orders in specific areas east of Malibu Canyon Road, south of Piuma Road, and in the Serra Retreat area.

He expressed concern as one of their cats, Bobo, had escaped during their departure. He wrote, "Arlene and I have safely evacuated with our animals except for Bobo escaped as we were leaving.
