Expanding the Mavericks' Broadcast Footprint

The Mavericks have successfully secured eight Designated Market Areas (DMAs) that will transmit their games produced by TEGNA's North Texas operation on broadcast TV stations in the respective markets. This move marks a significant expansion of the team's television coverage, allowing fans across Texas to tune in and follow their beloved Mavericks.Starting on October 26th, the Mavericks' matchup against the Phoenix Suns will air on KFAA-29 (formerly KMPX-TV) in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. In the Metroplex, KMPX will air at least 70 Mavericks games, with 15 simulcast on ABC affiliate WFAA-8.Beyond the Metroplex, the following eight additional stations will broadcast all games not exclusively televised nationally:- KFDA-10.2 in Amarillo, Texas (Gray Media)- KDBC-4.2 in El Paso (Sinclair)- KGBT-4 in the Rio Grande Valley (Nexstar)- KXNU-10.2 in Laredo, Texas (Gray Media)- KMYL-14.1 in Lubbock, Texas (Gray Media)- KXII-12.2 in Sherman-Denison, Texas (Gray Media)- KSHV-45.1 in Shreveport-Bossier City/Texarkana (Nexstar)- KJBO-3.2 in Wichita Falls, Texas/Lawton, Oklahoma (Nexstar)This extensive network of broadcast partners ensures that Mavericks fans across the state can easily access the team's games, fostering a deeper connection between the franchise and its loyal supporters.

Enhancing the Fan Experience

In addition to the expanded broadcast coverage, the Mavericks are also committed to enhancing the overall fan experience. A New Era for KFAA in Dallas-Fort Worth

The Mavericks' broadcast partnership with TEGNA also brings about a significant change in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. KFAA, the team's new TV flagship, will be undergoing a transformation, dropping the Estrella TV network and introducing new programming on October 20th.The rebranded KFAA will enjoy widespread carriage on various cable and satellite providers, including AT&T U-verse TV, Charter Spectrum, DIRECTV, DISH, Frontier Fiber Keller, Fubo, GEUS, Grande Communications, OneSource Communications, and Optimum. This expanded reach ensures that Mavericks fans in the Metroplex can easily access the team's games and content.Beyond the Dallas-Fort Worth market, Mavericks games will also air on TEGNA-owned stations in other regions of Texas, including KAGS-LD 23 and KCEN-6 in Temple-Waco, KYTX-19 in Tyler-Longview, KWES-9 in Midland-Odessa, KXVA-15 in Abilene, and KIDY-6 in San Angelo.
