A Milwaukee Brewers Pitcher's Dream Wedding
Wedding Venue and Aesthetics
The wedding took place inside a castle-like ballroom aptly named "The Cathedral" at The Boca Raton hotel. The grand room was filled with live musicians and had an ornate vaulted ceiling and columns with stone detailing. Simple florals and décor in gold and white tones provided by Dalsimer Atlas Floral & Event Decorations complemented the space beautifully. It was a sight to behold, with its vintage-style castle aesthetic that reminded Angelillo of a fairy tale. The bride's father walked her down the aisle to the tune of "Marry Me" by Train. Angelillo wore a stunning satin wedding dress designed by Modeca and purchased from Amazing Brides Couture. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline with a detachable overlay for an off-the-shoulder sleeve style in the front and an asymmetrical bow in the back. Her makeup was done by Gabriella J. Artistry and her hair styled by Jany M. Carrasco. It very much embodied her personal style, a clean and effortless look with hints of detail. The groom, wearing a tuxedo by Indochino, locked eyes with Angelillo as she made her way toward him. Once at the altar, they exchanged traditional vows privately and then read handwritten vows to each other.Ceremony and Officiant
The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Fr. Michael J. Calderin of St. Jude Ministries. Getting married means merging their lives, sharing responsibilities, and supporting each other through life's challenges. It was a moment filled with love and emotion. After the ceremony, there was a room flip for cocktail hour, and everyone returned to the ballroom for the reception. Angelillo changed into a "classic and timeless" second bridal look, a shorter Chantilly lace wedding gown with long sleeves and a high-neckline, turning heads once again.Reception and Food
Myers and Angelillo had their first dance to Calum Scott's "Biblical." Later in the night, everyone danced to the sounds of Good Musicians, a fusion band. Guests enjoyed a four-course plated meal. First came a Mediterranean-style salad with cucumber, olives, and feta cheese. Then an intermezzo passion fruit sorbet. Next, a duet-plated dinner with filet, seabass, and vegetables, along with a truffle potato puree. For dessert, there was a four-tiered wedding cake made in-house by a renowned bakery team. Inside each tier was white cake with a white chocolate mousse filling and fresh strawberries. On the outside was vintage-style piped buttercream topped with cherries. There was also a vanilla-maple crème tiramisu with amaretto, lady fingers, and chocolate curls. As a surprise, late-night bites of cheeseburgers and fries were available at the end of the evening.Pre-Wedding and Future Plans
The couple met at a local bar in South Florida during the 2019 offseason and got engaged on November 12, 2023, with a romantic beach proposal at sunset witnessed by their closest friends and family. They plan to travel around Europe together during the offseason next year, starting with Italy and Greece. Angelillo will continue working part-time as a nurse while Myers pursues his dream as a starting pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. They are excited to continue growing their love and start a family one day, looking forward to many more fun-filled moments together.
