Storytelling and Direction

Created and written by Howard Overman, Paris Has Fallen doesn't reinvent the action genre but brings a humorous element to the series. The four episodes directed by Oded Ruskin have a lot of action, and the back half is directed by Hans Herbots, who keeps the momentum going. The series relies on misdirects and plot twists to keep the audience engaged, and while there are some holes in the narrative, the action masks them.
