Just six weeks after tying the knot with his wife Kaylie on November 23rd, a tragic ATV crash changed everything. According to CBS affiliate KHOU, Tanner was hosting Friendsgiving with his wife when the accident occurred. He was innocently riding the 4-wheeler down the street but hit a bump at too high a speed, causing the vehicle to flip on top of him.

Life Before and After the Crash

Before the crash, Tanner and Kaylie had just purchased their first home, a significant milestone in their lives. However, the accident brought their world to a standstill. Tanner was transported to HCA Houston in Conroe, where he is now fighting for his recovery. His wife has been by his side throughout this difficult time, providing unwavering support.The injuries Tanner sustained are extensive. He has a broken pelvis on both right and left sides, a broken tailbone, a broken left collarbone, several hematomas, and road rash from head to toe. His mother Nikki Tomczak organized a GoFundMe campaign to help them through this challenging time. Doctors had to perform surgery to place a plate in his collarbone and a pin in his tailbone. They were unable to place pins in his pelvis due to the severity of the injury. Tanner also needed at least one blood transfusion and will require inpatient rehabilitation for at least seven days. He will be unable to walk until he undergoes another surgery to remove the rod.Nikki shared the difficult details with the public, stating that the financial burden on this young couple, just starting out, is immense. More than $15,000 has been raised through the GoFundMe campaign, but they still have a long road ahead.Tanner's words during this difficult time show the strength of their relationship. He said, "He’s been my best friend the whole time. But to see him go through it has been hard. It’s been a struggle, but we’re glad we have each other.
