2024-12-03
Zoe Saldaña, a renowned actress, recently made a significant appearance at the Italian premiere of her new movie. On Monday, December 2nd, she was accompanied by her husband Marco Perego and their three sons - the 10-year-old twins Cy and Bowie, and the 7-year-old Zen. This family of five came together to attend the premiere of Emilia Perez at The National Museum of Cinema in Turin, Italy. Saldaña looked stunning in a black shirt and red lipstick, posing with one hand on one of her older boys and smiling for the camera. Perego stood on the other side, wearing a gray fedora, a striped shirt with a leather jacket, and placed a hand on the couple's other twin. Their younger son Zen, wearing a long necklace and a graphic T-shirt, smiled in the middle. It was a heartwarming sight as they posed together for the cameras.

Special Bond with Cameron Diaz

In November, Saldaña shared a special connection with her good friend Cameron Diaz. She told PEOPLE at Elle’s 2024 Women in Hollywood event at The Four Seasons, Beverly Hills on November 19th. The Holiday actress has forged a deep bond with Saldaña and her family. So much so that her children call Diaz “auntie” in Spanish. Saldaña expressed her admiration for Diaz, saying, “Cameron, I am so happy. I’m so inspired by watching you really craft both your massive career and your beautifully private life exactly your own way. It is an honor to know you and what a gift for my kids to call you ‘Tía,’ and I call you ‘friend.’ I love you. Thank you for being [on the] line for me, for us and for me.”

Working Motherhood Struggles

This past October, Saldaña opened up about the challenges of being a working mother. While speaking with Variety, she shared that one of her long-term goals is to direct a film. However, with three young kids, she admitted it’s not the right time to take on a new project. As a mom of three, she explained, “When you direct - especially the kind of director that I am, and that I’ve witnessed all the directors that I’ve admired be - you live with a movie for years. I just want to make sure that my kids are old enough where they don’t even notice that I’m gone.” She continued to share that she finds it “intolerable” to be away from her little ones while working. “I always walk around with a heavy heart every time I’m away from them.”

Family Moments and Memories

The Italian premiere was not just a professional event for Saldaña but also a time to create precious family memories. Seeing her husband and sons by her side during such a significant occasion filled her heart with joy. These moments together will be etched in their memories for a long time. Whether it was posing for the cameras or simply sharing the experience, the family bond was strengthened. It shows the importance of having loved ones by one's side during important life events. Saldaña's journey as a working mother and actress is a delicate balance, but these family moments make it all worthwhile.

Support and Love within the Family

Saldaña's family plays a crucial role in her life. Her husband Marco Perego is always there by her side, providing support and love. The twins and the younger son look up to their parents and learn from their example. Their presence at the premiere was a testament to the strong family unit they have. Even in the midst of her busy career, Saldaña makes sure to prioritize her family. She understands the importance of creating a loving and nurturing environment for her children. This support system helps her navigate the challenges of being a working mother and allows her to pursue her dreams while still being a present and involved parent.
