Dean McCullough's Journey

On December 1, 2024, Dean McCullough became the second star to leave I’M A Celebrity. Ant and Dec revealed it was a close call between him and Barry McGuigan. After his fate was declared, Dean expressed his gratitude for the entire experience. He said, "I have really, really soaked up this whole experience, all the trials. You know, the things that I faced. I got stuck in at camp, done a bit of everything, and I really, really, really enjoyed it." He added that he learned a valuable lesson - that life is better when it's simpler. One doesn't need to be constantly on their phone or chasing the next appointment. One can simply sit in the moment and enjoy what's going on.Dean lasted 17 days in the jungle. However, he quickly became a target due to his relentless screaming and fussing during challenges. Viewers nominated him for six trials in a row and he even quit two of them by yelling, "I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!". He was no stranger to drama in camp either. He sparked the Teagate saga by sneaking contraband teabags and making others a brew. This led to the campmates being punished, with half of the ten cupcakes won on a challenge by Melvin Odoom being taken away.The radio star, who was on water duty with Dean, had some not-so-kind words for him, calling him "Hou-Deani" and saying he was "very good at disappearing". But Dean defended himself, stating that Melvin never came to him and asked him to do more. He said he had already done six trials back to back and Melvin saw him sleeping and left him alone.Dean took on seven trials during his time on the show, showing his determination and courage.
