When the Gallery 113 Board of Directors learned that the Student Art Fund was no longer organizing the Grandparent Portrait Show, a biennial event that had been a fixture at the Faulkner Gallery since 2009, they knew they had to take action.Reaching out to art teachers in Santa Barbara, Goleta, Lompoc, and Carpinteria, the gallery has curated a remarkable exhibition featuring 10 pieces of art from each participating school. This celebration of young artistic voices will be on display throughout the month of November, with a special First Thursday reception on November 7 from 5-8 p.m.In addition to the student art, the gallery will also feature the work of six featured artists, further enriching the cultural tapestry of the community.
