It showcases memorable musical acts by a diverse range of artists such as Paul Simon, Justin Timberlake, Billie Eilish & Finneas, Bad Bunny, Elvis Costello, Miley Cyrus, Debbie Harry & Chris Stein, Jack White, Mick Jagger, and Dua Lipa, to name just a few. As Thompson stated in a statement, “Everyone knows the most famous SNL appearances, whether it’s Elvis Costello, Prince or the Beastie Boys, but they’re the tip of a huge iceberg.” The process of going through the incredible archival footage was truly a remarkable experience, likened to being in a time machine or a DeLorean. Now, he is excited to share this journey with everyone.

The film is an integral part of NBC’s primetime celebration of SNL’s 50 seasons, which began in 1974. NBC is all set to debut the music-focused feature doc on January 27th, with it streaming the next day on Peacock. This three-hour special will feature around 50 interviews with musical artists, cast members, and writers. It is produced by Two One Five Entertainment, RadicalMedia, and Broadway Video, ensuring a high-quality production.
