2024-12-16
Vince Cicchi and Madison Perrott's love story is one that has captured the hearts of many. They initially met on Hinge and within just 14 days of their first date, they were already deeply in love. Perrott recalls the first date with a sense of wonder, mentioning the numerous coincidences that led to their connection. "We went on that first date and there were so many coincidences," she says, adding that his last name (Cicchi) is her childhood nickname and that he shares a birthday with her mom. "All of a sudden it was four and a half hours later," she continues.
Love at First Sight or a Slow Burn?
The couple's journey from their first meeting to falling in love was a whirlwind. After setting up a date and meeting a few days later, neither of them expected to fall so quickly. As they spent more time together, they realized that there was something special between them. "It was like we had known each other in a past life. We really can't explain it, it worked – and it has for a year and a half," Perrott muses. Their decision to delete Hinge after just a few nights together was a sign of their growing connection. They faced the challenge of expressing their extreme feelings so early on. Cicchi admits that it was strange to say "I love you" after only two weeks, but they couldn't deny the depth of their emotions. "It was so weird because after two weeks you don't know someone [enough] to be able to say words like that," he says, but they insisted that they felt it. Over the next few days, they kept saying "I love you" to each other, but then decided to "roll back" and just say "ly" for a while. It wasn't until three weeks into their relationship that they began using the full term again.Sharing Their Love on TikTok
Perrott wasn't shy about sharing content featuring Cicchi on her TikTok account, which has over 250,000 followers. In September, her followers got a glimpse of their love story when Cicchi started tearing up while driving to a wedding. Perrott was secretly recording the moment, which she described as "so cute." Although Cicchi initially had reservations about sharing the video on TikTok, he couldn't deny the sweet memory it held. "As a guy, you don't love a video of you crying on the internet," he tells PEOPLE, but the memory made up for his hesitation.Perrott's caption for the video, "Wait for the man who randomly tears up because he's so in love," captured the essence of their relationship. It showed a side of them that was raw and genuine. Within 24 to 48 hours, the video had five million views, further solidifying their place in the hearts of many.Looking Towards the Future
Although the couple is definitely looking towards a future together, they are taking their time. "The goal right now is to just have fun," Perrott says. Cicchi adds that they "would get married today," but they are not ready to embark on the hassle of planning a wedding right now. Their advice for other couples is to not look for love on a checklist. "You just can't really look for it. You're never going to grow and connect with somebody when you just have a checklist and you start ripping through it right off the bat," Cicchi says. Perrott agrees, adding that "overthinking the bare minimum" is a mistake that current singles are making. Instead, she believes that focusing on what you deserve is the best way to find your forever love.
