Brad Bechard, the owner, brings a wealth of musical experience to the table.

Owner's Musical Journey

Bechard grew up in Ilion and started playing guitar at the tender age of eleven. Since then, he has been an active part of the music scene, playing in bands for decades. He once traveled with the British Invasion Show for eight or nine years, performing the classics of the 60s and 70s. After that group disbanded, he dedicated two years to an Alice Cooper tribute band, complete with stage production. In 1989, he decided to leave the road and worked as a mechanic for 30 years, running his own shop, B&B Auto Tech. However, he grew tired of that business and sold it. During this time, he continued to play with local bands like Showtime and Carmen Brookfield. His son is now a drummer in Buffalo.Bechard has played in numerous local bands over the years. He started as a guitar player but later took on the bass role when a band member left. He is also proficient in playing drums and a bit on the keyboard. Two years ago, he opened a vendor spot in the Emporium on Mohawk Street in Herkimer and was doing well. But when the building was sold, he had to take everything home. His girlfriend's suggestion led him to start looking for a new place, and with the help of Realtor Bruce Ward, he found the perfect space in Ilion and moved in July.He plans to expand the shop by redoing the rest of the space and adding a studio. In addition to selling instruments and accessories, he also offers setups and repairs. He is actively working with local schools to bring music education to a wider audience. For more information, you can reach out to him via email at bbechard2@yahoo.com or call 315-360-4757.
