2024-12-10
Beyoncé, the music icon, made a grand return to the red carpet on December 9. She stepped out with her daughter Blue Ivy Carter for the Los Angeles premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King. The pair shone brightly, with Beyoncé wearing a strapless, curve-hugging structured gown adorned with gold circular plating. This dress featured a thigh-high slit and a plunging cutout in the middle of a sweetheart neckline. Meanwhile, Blue Ivy, 12, looked stunning in a strapless gold gown, with her all-over shiny look having the same black undertones as her mother's patterned design. Both mother and daughter had long, almond-shaped manicures. Beyoncé opted for a nude lip, while Blue Ivy went bold with a red pout.
Family on the Red Carpet
The mother-daughter duo was joined by Jay-Z, who wore a suit and tie. Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, also stepped out and stood with her family for photos. She wore a black off-the-shoulder top and pants, accessorized with black gloves and gold accessories. In the animated musical drama Mufasa: The Lion King, which serves as a prequel to the 2019 adaptation of the Disney classic, Beyoncé reprises her role as Nala, and Blue Ivy makes her feature debut as Kiara. On Instagram, Beyoncé praised her "gorgeous baby girl" alongside premiere photos, expressing her pride in Blue Ivy's performance. The family's appearance came a day after Jay-Z vehemently denied allegations of raping a 13-year-old girl along with Sean "Diddy" Combs in 2000. In his denial statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the 55-year-old rapper said the "heinous" claims would affect his family, including Blue Ivy, as well as his and Beyoncé's twins, Rumi and Sir, 7.Beyoncé hadn't previously posed on a red carpet in 2024 but has attended several award ceremonies. Most recently, she was at Glamour's Women of the Year ceremony where her mother Knowles was honored, and the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards where she accepted the innovator award.Mufasa: The Lion King hits theaters on December 20, and the soundtrack, featuring seven new songs, will be released on December 13.
