The Christmas season is upon us and Franklin County offers a plethora of ways to celebrate. From shopping to music and everything in between, there's something for everyone. Let's dive into the various events that make this holiday season truly special.

6th Annual Land O’Christmas and Santa’s Workshop
During the weekends, from now until Sunday, December 15th, it's a festive time. On Fridays, it's from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays (except December 15th) from noon to 5 p.m. The Counting House on the Square (formerly Citizen’s Bank), located at 10 W. Main St. in Waynesboro, Pa. showcases beautiful Christmas tree displays. Santa is available during specific hours (Through December 10th - 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, and noon to 2 p.m. on Sundays). There's also a Story Hour on December 7th at 1:30 p.m. and December 8th at 2:30 p.m. Raffle tickets are available to benefit Wall Club's projects, and a holiday train adds to the charm. And don't worry, there's a handicapped entrance in the rear of 10 W. On Saturday, November 30th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., downtown Waynesboro comes alive. It's a day of holiday shopping with exciting prizes. "Dollar Bill" gives away Downtown Dollars, adding to the excitement. There's also music and a holiday market. For the little ones, there's ornament making from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Main Street Park. This event is hosted by Downtown Waynesboro and is a great way to support local businesses during the holiday season.It's a day filled with joy and shopping opportunities.Morning of Christmas Music
On Tuesday, December 3rd, at 9:30 a.m., the Greencastle Presbyterian Church at 57 W. Baltimore St. becomes a haven of Christmas music. Sponsored by Greencastle-Antrim Christian Women’s Fellowship, it features vocal solos, duets, a quartet, instrumentals, and audience participation with carol singing. Musicians like Ken Shockey, Tina Lehman, Jason and Elizabeth Barthlow, and Pam and Phil Risser add to the musical magic. On Saturday, December 7th, at 7 p.m., the Luhrs Center at 475 Lancaster Drive in Shippensburg presents an enchanting show. With illusionists, circus performers, and specialized acts, along with Christmas music, it's a spectacle like no other. Tickets range from $49 to $79. On Sunday, December 8th, at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., the Brandts Covenant Brethren Church at 8003 Brandts Church Road in St. Thomas holds these amazing concerts. The theme is "Who is this Baby? The King!" With a fifteen-member Percussion Praise performing on marimbas, vibraphone, bells, chimes, xylophone, timpani, keyboard, drums, and other percussion instruments, the selections include "We Three Kings," "March of the Kings," and "Good King Wenceslas."It's a musical celebration that touches the soul.Holiday Sip & Stroll
On Saturday, December 14th, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., downtown Waynesboro is buzzing. You can pick up passports at Main Street Park at 25 E. Main St. and receive a 5-ounce pour at each location. Then, return the passport to Rough Edges Brewing for prizes. There's an ugly sweater contest at Rough Edges Brewing at 4:15 p.m. This event is sponsored by Mainstreet Waynesboro, and tickets, priced at $30, are available at Eventbrite and the Mainstreet Office.It's a fun and festive way to enjoy the holiday season with a touch of libation.Martin’s Mill Bridge Winter Wonderland
On Sunday, December 15th, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., enter via West Weaver Road in Greencastle at Martin’s Mill Bridge. Drive through the 175-year-old covered bridge decorated for the holiday season. Enjoy music, hot cocoa and cookies, and have the opportunity to take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus (available for purchase). On Sunday, December 15th, at 3 p.m., the St. Paul United Methodist Church at 750 Norland Ave. in Chambersburg presents a beautiful recital. Presented by The Chambersburg Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, it's a free will donation event to support the organ guild.It's a serene and musical celebration of the Advent and Christmas seasons.
