2024-12-01
Donna Kelce, a 72-year-old NFL supermom, has been making waves with her unique style and newfound acting career. On November 29th, she stepped out at Arrowhead Stadium to watch her son Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs play against the Las Vegas Raiders. Accompanied by Travis' girlfriend Taylor Swift, she donned a pair of black leather pants and a black jacket adorned with the Chiefs logo, captivating everyone's attention.
Special Feature of the Leather Pants
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Donna shared the special feature of her edgy leather pants. "They're stylish in the front, but there's a party in the back because they're just regular cloth," she explained. "Leather pants can get really hot, so the back being cloth allows for better air circulation. It's a practical yet fashionable choice." She even went on to say that she prefers these leather pants over regular ones as they are more comfortable to sit in, keeping her cool and at ease.Acting Journey and Family Connection
Donna has also made her acting debut in the Hallmark Channel holiday movies. Christmas on Call, set in Philadelphia where her son Jason Kelce played for the Eagles before retiring, and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, filmed in Kansas City where Travis plays, have been a huge success. She described the experience as "so awesome" and mentioned how she had a blast learning from the veteran stars. Her family, especially her three grandchildren, loved watching her on screen. "My little grandchildren just kept saying, 'Play it back, play it back. We want to see DeeDee.' It was a really special moment for us," she said.Navigating Fame as a Family
Donna has been navigating the fame of her pro athlete sons for years. Last month, she told Glamour that it's challenging to go out in public as a family, especially since Travis started dating Taylor Swift. "If we want to do something, we have to rent out the restaurant or the movie theater. But I do get to sneak away every once in a while and go to places that nobody knows about," she shared. Despite the challenges, she is embracing the opportunities that come her way and is having the time of her life.Donna's foray into the acting world has been a dream come true. She teased that there might be more acting projects in the future, but for now, she is content with this new chapter. "I just really had a good time with everybody at Hallmark. They treated me so well, and I'm excited to have done this," she said.Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story premieres on Saturday, November 30th, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel, and Donna's story continues to inspire.
