I'm A Celeb Star's Awkward Encounter with a Pop Icon
2024-12-12
Radio star Jordan North recently shared a captivating story of being left starstruck during a conversation with a pop icon. This incident took place while he was on the Thursday installment of "This Morning" alongside his Capital co-stars Chris Stark and Sian Welby.

An Unforgettable Interview with Chris Martin

The annual Jingle Bell Ball, which took place at the start of December and will be shown on ITV over the weekend, was the topic of discussion. Jordan, along with his colleagues, spoke about the concert that saw the likes of Becky Hill, Katy Perry, and Tom Grennan perform. However, it was one particular interaction that left Jordan dumbfounded. When Cat Deeley asked if Jordan got a little starstruck at one stage, he readily agreed and revealed that it was with Chris Martin from Coldplay. Jordan shared that he had been a fan of Coldplay for many years and this was his first time interviewing the lead singer. He added that the interview didn't go as planned initially. As Cat burst into laughter, she wondered what had happened. Jordan explained that Chris Martin is not the easiest person to interview. He is very shy and doesn't really like doing many interviews. At the end, Jordan thought the interview would need a good edit. His co-star joked that they weren't going to blame the interviewer, to which Jordan replied with a witty saying, "A bad tradesman never blames his tools or a good one."But the surprise came at the end of the interview. Chris Martin himself admitted that he wasn't the best at interviews and then gave Jordan a small gift. Proudly showing it off, Jordan was wearing the badge Chris had given him. He shared that he had taken it off his own shirt to give to Chris. Cat commented that it was like getting the Blue Peter badge from Chris Martin - approved.

Another Celebrity Encounter

Jordan wasn't the only one on the sofa with an awkward encounter. Sian revealed that their co-star Chris has the most famous embarrassing moments. This Morning viewers then saw an old clip of Chris speaking to actress Mila Kunis in 2013.A fresh-faced Chris appeared asking Mila if she enjoyed being ugly in the movie as he said, "Genuinely, you're hot. So is being a witch a bit different?" When they cut back to the studio, they were all giggling. Cat commented that if Richard Curtis wrote a screenplay with a bumbling presenter, it would be like this. Ben called the moment a rite of passage as it was one of Chris's first interviews. Chris replied that doing that taught him it is okay to be himself and that bumbling through it is something different. This Morning continues on weekdays on ITV from 10 am.
