2024-12-02
Jodie Turner-Smith, a highly regarded talent, often finds herself in a state of excitement when working with her Hollywood peers. At 38 years old, she is currently starring in "The Agency" alongside Richard Gere, Michael Fassbender, and Jeffrey Wright. Despite her best efforts to remain composed, her enthusiasm for working with Gere was palpable.

Turner-Smith's Interaction with Richard Gere

After expressing her desire to star in "Chicago" on Broadway on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", host Jimmy Fallon inquired if she had spoken to Gere about the show. Gere, 75, had previously starred as Billy Flynn in the 2002 film. Turner-Smith admitted that she had played it coy with Gere, stating, "I haven't talked to him about it. There's levels of kind of fanning out with Richard Gere. Cause he's, like, so cool and calm and I'm like, not trying to give him the whole, like, 'I love you!'"

Jodie Turner-Smith and Richard Gere's appearance at the "The Agency Premiere in NY" was a sight to behold. Their on-screen chemistry and off-screen interactions added to the excitement surrounding the show.

Gere's presence in the series was not only a treat for Turner-Smith but also for the audience. His talent and charisma shone through in every scene.

Working with Michael Fassbender

Admitting to being a "long-time fan" of Fassbender, who plays covert CIA agent Martian in the show and has an affair with Turner-Smith's character Samia, she expressed her excitement at finally getting to work with him.

"I was definitely nervous before starting filming earlier this year, but Michael Fassbender was so kind and generous. Everyone involved in the production made me feel empowered. I feel like I'm constantly at the beginning of my career, even though I've been doing this for a while. There's always so much to learn and so much I want to explore."

The chemistry between Turner-Smith and Fassbender was evident on screen, adding depth to the story and captivating the viewers.

The Quality of "The Agency"

Turner-Smith raved about the "splashy project" from the moment she read the scripts. She knew it was excellent and Gere echoed her sentiments.

"It's very well-written… it's terrific," Gere said on the "Today show" last week. "I mean, they're all wonderful. And we shot it like a movie. We do it the same way. Movie directors, movie actors, the schedule is like a movie schedule. It feels the same to me."

The first two episodes of "The Agency" are now streaming on Paramount+, offering viewers a thrilling spy thriller filled with drama and excitement.
