She pointed out Wallen's past behavior, including his then-felony charges for throwing a chair off a sixth-floor bar rooftop and the video of him using a racial slur in 2021. She emphasized that Nashville should be a supportive place for everyone and that she did not want to see a billboard with the name of a person with such actions.Just days after the sign's approval, Wallen appeared in court. There, he accepted a plea deal and was sentenced for the April chair-throwing incident. On Thursday, December 12th, a judge in Nashville sentenced him to one week of incarceration to be served at a DUI education center, along with two years' probation - one year for each of his misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment. Additionally, the "Wasted on You" star had to pay a $350 fine and court fees.His attorney, Worrick Robinson IV, stated in a statement that Wallen had cooperated fully with authorities throughout the last eight months. He directly communicated and apologized to all involved.
