The renowned composer entered the hallowed sanctum of the temple with the intention of offering his heartfelt prayers. However, his visit took an unanticipated turn when the priests and devoted followers informed him of certain infractions.

According to a News18 report, Ilaiyaraaja was asked to exit the sacred chamber where the deity is enshrined. The temple authorities conveyed to Ilaiyaraaja that this area is not open to the general public. They earnestly requested him to depart from the sacred space. After being made aware of the situation, Ilaiyaraaja showed great respect and gracefully stepped out of the chamber.Even though there was a minor disturbance, Ilaiyaraaja was still able to have a glimpse of the deity and complete his visit to the temple. Nevertheless, a video of him being escorted out of the temple premises has gained significant attention and has gone viral on social media.Ilaiyaraaja reportedly made this visit to the Srivilliputhur Andal Temple in order to seek blessings before the release of his remarkable music composition Divya Pasuram. He was accompanied by Sadagopa Ramanuja Jeeyar and Sadagopa Ramanuja Iyer from the Sri Andal Jeeyar Mutt in Srivilliputhur.
