Billie Eilish: Had 'Good Sex' in 2024 After Vowing to Avoid Love Life Talk
2024-12-19
Billie Eilish, a renowned singer, has recently made significant revelations about her personal life. In her latest Vanity Fair interview, which she has been doing annually since 2017 when she was 15, the 23-year-old singer shared that she has fulfilled her younger self's desire for "good sex." During one segment, looking back at her previously unpublished 2023 interview where she listed things she wanted to accomplish like "making new friends" and "having good sex," she explained how she has achieved much of her list. She mentioned that the year has been filled with friendship, having made close connections with people she wasn't with before and rekindling friendships. She concluded by saying, "I've done nothing but make friends all year and gotten so close with people that I wasn't with before, and became friends with people I used to be friends with again. It's just been a year filled with friendship, which honestly, even though I was saying a lot of things that I want to do, that was the thing that I wanted to do and I really did it, and it was awesome." And she added, "And yes, I've had a lot of good sex. So you're welcome, Billie."
Revelation After Previous Stance
This revelation about Eilish's private life comes shortly after she stated in a different interview that she had no plans to discuss her sexuality or personal relationships publicly going forward. In Vogue's November cover story published online on Oct. 8, the star said she regretted being candid about her attraction to women, including expressing that she is "intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence" in a 2023 interview for Variety's The Power of Women issue. She admitted, "I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Ever, ever, ever. And I hope that they never will again." She continued, "And I'm never talking about my sexuality ever again. And I'm never talking about who I'm dating ever again." Explaining her decision further, the Grammy winner said she underestimated that the "things I say will be blown up into the biggest news of the whole world." She also told Vogue that she's still learning to navigate stardom and plans to be more careful about her words in the future. She said, "We're all babies. We're all little kids growing up and learning ourselves."Previous Romances
Eilish was previously romantically linked to The Neighbourhood frontman Jesse Rutherford. A source previously confirmed to PEOPLE that the pair dated for eight months before splitting in May 2023, but noted they "remain good friends." Prior to Rutherford, the singer was also linked to actor Matthew Tyler Vorce for a little over a year from April 2021 to May 2022, as well as Brandon Q. Adams. She opened up about dating and breaking up with the rapper, who goes by the stage name 7:AMP, in her 2021 Apple TV+ documentary, Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry.
